A replica of the Ram Mandir will be showcased during the India Day parade in New York on August 18, an event that draws thousands of Indian Americans from the city and its surrounding areas. this will mark the first occasion that a replica of the Ram Mandir will be exhibited in the United States.
According to Amitabh Mittal, the general secretary of Vishva Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA), the temple replica will measure 18 feet in length, nine feet in width, and eight feet in height.
The yearly India Day Parade in New York, which is the biggest celebration of India’s Independence Day outside of India, typically attracts over 150,000 spectators. The parade, organized by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), will feature numerous floats representing various Indian American communities and showcasing the diversity of Indian culture as it proceeds through the streets of Midtown New York, from East 38th Street to East 27th Street.
Recently, the VHPA-A conducted a Ram Mandir Rath Yatra that visited 851 temples across 48 states over a period of 60 days.
The inauguration of Ayodhya Ram Mandir along with the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the idol Ram Lalla at the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram temple took place on January 22, 2024. PM Modi was the chief guest at the event to inaugurate the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The consecration ceremony was attended by over 7,000 individuals, including politicians, film personalities and industrialists.
